Assoc. Prof. Ulaş Solmaz

I entered the Faculty of Medicine at Inonu University the same year I graduated from Elazığ High School, 1995. I received my Medical Doctor degree from the Faculty of Medicine at İnönü University in 2002. I finished my specialization training at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Ege University Faculty of Medicine between 2002 and 2007. I finished my civil service obligation at Van Maternity and Children’s Hospital between 2007 and 2009. I finished my military service as a Medical Ensign at Tatvan Military Hospital between 2009 and 2010. At Tepecik Training and Research Hospital, I focused on gynecological oncology surgery between 2011 and 2014. I fulfilled my second public service obligation as a specialist in gynecological oncology surgery at Tepecik Training and Research Hospital between 2014 and 2016.

I was appointed University Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2017.

I have numerous publications in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology, including articles, book chapters, and presentations.

Areas of my expertise and interest;

  • Colposcopy (detailed cervix examination), cervical cancer screenings, and cervical cancer precursors
  • Gynecological oncology and closed gynecology procedures (vaginal, laparoscopic, robotic surgery)
  • Gynecological cancers.
