Assoc. Prof. Ulaş Solmaz

I have dedicated many years to the field of gynecology and gynecologic oncology surgery, caring for women at every stage of their diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of helping thousands of women regain their health and confidence, guiding them safely through some of the most delicate moments of their lives.

After completing my medical degree at Inonu University Faculty of Medicine, I received my specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Ege University. I then completed a subspecialty fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology Surgery at Tepecik Training and Research Hospital, where I focused on the surgical management of gynecologic cancers. In 2017, I earned the academic title of Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Surgical Experience in Gynecologic Cancers

Over the years, I have performed a wide range of surgeries for gynecologic cancers, including cervical, endometrial, and ovarian malignancies. My practice integrates advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques, allowing for more precise, minimally invasive, and faster recovery procedures. I also have long-standing experience with complex cytoreductive surgeries and HIPEC (Heated Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy) treatments for advanced-stage cancers.

True success in oncology goes beyond the operating room. It requires guiding the entire process — from diagnosis to full recovery — with a scientific, structured, and patient-centered approach. My goal is not only to remove the disease but to help each woman rebuild her strength, health, and sense of self.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Every surgical specimen is evaluated by pathologists who specialize in gynecologic pathology, ensuring the highest accuracy in diagnosis and staging. Postoperative care, follow-up, and rehabilitation are conducted meticulously, with continuous coordination among medical oncology and radiation oncology teams. This multidisciplinary collaboration allows each patient to receive comprehensive care — surgical, oncologic, and supportive — all within a unified treatment plan.

Academic and Scientific Contributions

I have authored numerous national and international scientific papers, book chapters, and presentations in the field of gynecology and gynecologic oncology. My academic interests include precancerous cervical lesions, HPV infections, colposcopy, post-LEEP follow-up, laparoscopic oncologic surgery, and the surgical management of endometrial and ovarian cancers. I remain deeply committed to evidence-based medicine, continuously integrating the latest global oncology guidelines (NCCN, ESGO) into my clinical practice.

My Philosophy

Medicine, for me, is not merely a profession — it is a commitment to touch lives, to provide trust, and to offer hope. In gynecologic oncology, surgical success is not only measured by removing a tumor but by respecting a woman’s body, spirit, and future.

I believe in transparency, open communication, and shared decision-making. Each patient is unique, and every treatment plan is personalized accordingly. When a woman feels understood and supported, the healing process has already begun.

In gynecologic cancers, early diagnosis, precise surgery, and compassionate care truly save lives. Every day, with every patient and every operation, I work with this purpose in mind — to help women live again, in health, in confidence, and in strength.
